Busboys & Poets

If you are down for a cultured venue where the food is great, the music is hip and the vibe is out of this world then you need to make your way to Busboys and Poets located on 14th and V street in Washington,DC. I was able to go to this place with my Father and two best friends on Tuesdays and I was literally amazed as soon as I stepped in. As soon as you open the door you're introduced to a bookstore type setting. If you make a quick right there is a huge lounge of big comfortable seats for you and few friends to sit, chat, read, or study. Next to the lounge area there is a kitchen where the food is prepared and is taken into the dining room that is found through a door past the lounge area. This room is called the Langston room- named after poet and busboy( hence the name of the place) Langston Hughes. The walls of the room were creatively designed with murals of important and artistic faces. As a writer and innovative person I absolutely found a home at Busboys and Poets! I will be there as much as I can. Maybe I'll one day start one in Baltimore!
other locations for Busboys and Poets are 5th street in DC
as well as Arlington,Va ( right outside of DC)
